Filmora is a video editing software by Wondershare, available for Windows and Mac desktop, Android and iOS for mobile, and iPad. The basic video editing features like trimming, clipping, and adding and moving tracks are all straight-forward and easy to learn and use. Filmora also provides features like keyframing that are essential for those wanting to do more than just the basics, and planar tracking and multi-camera editing for more advanced edits. Transitions, effects, and filters are easy to use in Filmora and they offer quite a few AI video editing tools, including automatic captions, smart short clips, background removal, etc.
If you’ve used CapCut, you’ll find Filmora feels very familiar. There is a Free option, but it has some limitations including a watermark on exported videos. The perpetual license is a one-time payment for use of the version you purchase, but does not entitle you to future version. Subscription options offer variations of the following components, either separately or in a bundle/combination: 1) the video editing software, 2) creative assets (transitions, effects, media), and 3) ai credits.
